We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Buyer with expertise in construction material purchasing to join our team. As a Construction Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring construction materials, with a strong focus on construction material, including but not limited to lumber, hardware, windows and doors, etc.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**50% Construction Buying Expertise**
- Own and lead purchasing for AGORUS construction & manufacturing products. Leverage your in-depth knowledge of rough trades' products (framing, electrical, plumbing, insulation, windows & doors) to accelerate AGORUS purchasing efforts.
- Create automated systems in ERP & ONE Source to increase the productivity and efficiency of purchasing.
- Work with vendors to establish cost-reduction plans.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors.

**25% Inventory Management**
- Lead the inventory management/warehouse team to accurately label, sort, store, track, ship & receive inventory.
- Oversee receiving & inventory and help establish QA processes around both.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast for future production in order to obtain price efficiency.

**25% Quality Management**
- Conduct vendor surveillance to ensure their QA/QC processes ensure on-time, high quality deliveries to AGORUS factory & field locations.
- Work with QA/QC to establish proper receiving procedures for all of our various materials.
- Work with Tech team to leverage tech solutions to improve all aspects of Purchasing & Inventory Management.

**Requirements**:
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Proven experience as a Construction Materials Buyer.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of construction materials, lumber species, hardware and related specifications.
- Excellent negotiation and sourcing skills, with a track record of building and managing supplier relationships.
- Familiarity with construction industry regulations and standards.
- Strong analytical skills to review market trends, pricing, and supplier performance.
- Proficiency in utilizing purchase order management systems and other relevant software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness and ability to visit suppliers and construction sites, as required.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

- Training for Microsoft Teams
- Turnover with current Purchasing team on vendor relations
- ERP / Acumatica & ONE Source access & Deep dive
- In-depth dive into upcoming AGORUS projects and likely purchasing needs
- Learn BOM, Purchase Orders, MRP inside Acumatica

**First 60 Days**
- Deep dive into Agorus' product roadmap and strategy to fully grasp our mission and vision
- Take over as Lead Contact with AGORUS vendors. Assume primary for all purchasing activities.
- Assume primary for MRP, Production Order & Consumption activities in Acumatica

**First 90 Days**
- Build out SOPs
- Conduct root cause analysis'
- Work with ONE Source & Acumatica teams to improve our systems
- Implement QA for receiving & inventory
- Identify automation solutions to reduce man-hours associated with inventory
