The mission of Family Support Services is to be the leader in providing safety, stability, and quality of life for all children by working with the community to strengthen the family unit.

**Job Summary**:
The Director of Family Preservation for Pasco and Pinellas Counties is responsible for:

- The oversight, program development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Family Preservation program. The ultimate goal of the program is to serve children and families in the community and avoid a family's entry in the dependency court system.
- The supervision of staff, monitoring of subcontractor services, contract compliance and evaluation.
- Management of services at all FSS locations, which may also include management of services provided at various sites within the community.
- Serve as the central point of contact regarding the program and its services to the community.
- Representing the Agency in the Community by participating in collaborative, interagency coalitions, and community organizations to address critical issues related to promoting safe and stable families.

**Essential Duties**_:_
- Oversight of Family Preservation and Diversion programs and corresponding community contracts as applicable.
- Supervise grants and special projects.
- Attend all required case staffings, trainings, meeting, etc.
- Maintain program fidelity through case consultations, review policy and procedure, training needs, audits, and corrective action plans.
- Create and implement new programs to enhance and expand current services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- **Education**:_

Bachelors Degree is required. Masters degree preferred. Current or previous Child Welfare Certification.
- **Experience**:_

At least seven (7) years of supervision and management experience of direct service personnel and community programs serving high risk children and families and/or child abuse prevention.

Experience in community-based services programs.

Familiarity with Pasco and Pinellas Counties, including Department of Health, Department of Children and Families, Pasco and Pinellas County respective Sheriffs offices and other community based service providers.
