We are seeking an experienced, successful, and engaged Loader Operator to join our team. This position is expected to work out of our office at 685 Los Esteros Rd. in San Jose and limited job-related travel may be required.

**Position** **Summary**:
GreenWaste is seeking to fill the position of Loader Operator to provide support to one or more facilities. This role is responsible for moving materials from one place to another.

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities**:

- Monitoring the operation of machinery, such as hoists or cranes, to ensure safe operation
- Operating machinery to load and unload materials from trucks or ships onto docks or into warehouses
- Inspecting equipment for defects or damage and making necessary repairs
- Operating forklifts to move materials within warehouses or manufacturing plants
- Performing physical labor such as lifting heavy objects or climbing ladders to reach high places

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Excellent vision or the use of prescribed lenses
- Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines
- Capacity to provide and follow directions
- Sharp decision-making skills, particularly when under pressure
- Ability to work extended hours, as required

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience operating a variety of heavy equipment

**Language Skill**:

- Proficiency in English and/or Spanish

**Physical Demands**:

- Ability to physically push, pull and lift objects up to 75 lbs.
- Constant bending and twisting
- Frequent standing, walking and semi-frequent sitting
- Constant climbing in and out of equipment

**Work Environment**:
Typical work week is Monday through Friday. Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and odors. Ability to work in setting with frequent changes in equipment, start/end time, service city/town and routes based on the operational needs for the day and or week.
