**This position may be Remote or Hybrid at our MA, VA, OH, FL, or CA office locations.**

**_ Pursuant to applicable Federal law and regulations, positions at STR may require employees to obtain national security clearances and satisfy the requirements for compliance with export control and other applicable laws._**

**Responsibilities**
- Manage the procurement lifecycle from planning to closeout
- Perform purchasing activities in accordance with company procurement policies and procedures
- Perform market research, qualification, and source selection for potential suppliers
- Evaluate supplier quotes and proposals to ensure price or cost reasonableness
- Respond to inquiries about order status, changes, cancellations, and returns
- Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate effectively and professionally with internal customers, partners, and stakeholders
- Conduct vendor onboarding and management in accordance company policies.
- Maintain all auditable procurement files in accordance with company, contractual, and DCMA CPSR requirements
- Recommend and help implement process improvements to scale and optimize procurement activities and practices to the Procurement Manager
- Participate in special projects as needed

**Requirements**:

- **_This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is needed by U.S. Government._**:

- 2-5 years of Federal procurement or purchasing experience
- Experience in negotiations and supplier management
- Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS), and agency specific regulations
- Collaborative, self-motivated, and efficient, with good business judgment and analytical skills
- Innovative, with an interest in working closely with STR's Procurement Manager and other team members to optimize our procurement practices, while maintaining compliance with our core contractual and regulatory requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt well to change
- Superior interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with external customers and partners as well as colleagues at all levels across the organization
- Thirst for excellence and enthusiasm to expand his/her experience and take on additional responsibilities in contracting activities (including but not limited to Government systems compliance and subcontract administration)

- Bachelor's degree
