**About Your Role**_:_**
We believe in supporting adults with severe and persistent mental illness in their journey towards independence and self-sufficiency. As a Residential Skills Trainer (RST), you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of individuals in our community. In this role, you will work in a residential setting, providing support and guidance to adults with severe and persistent mental illness. Your main focus will be educating clients on essential life skills, including maintaining a residence, budgeting, meal preparation, housekeeping, hygiene, safety, medication management, and utilizing public transportation. Collaborating with a dedicated team, you will also provide transportation for clients to medical appointments, grocery trips, and other essential errands using a company vehicle. Daily documentation of clients' progress, behaviors, and medications will be integral to ensure that individual goals are being met effectively. Additionally, crisis intervention may be required on occasion. Monthly staff meetings and supervision with the Residential Program supervisor will help support your professional development.

- One of the following:

- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service field (Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, etc.)
- Valid Georgia Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR); Clean Criminal Back Ground Check (no conviction or credible evidence of abuse, neglect, or sexual exploitation)
- Preferred:

- 1 year experience in a mental health or substance abuse residential facility
- 2 years’ experience working with a psychiatric population
