Your Role and Responsibilities

You must be willing to work in our research lab in Yorktown Heights, NY.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Master's degree in a technical discipline (Machine learning/AI, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency in machine learning, preferably natural language processing
- In-depth knowledge of state of the art large-language model architecture (i.e., transformers) and experience in building, training, and/or fine-tunning LLMs
- Ability to work in teams as well as independently
- Ability to understand and address socio-technical questions and solutions
- Proven record of strong publications as well as written and oral communication skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- PhD degree in a technical discipline (Machine learning/AI, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics)
- Familiarity with important social science concepts pertaining to issues of tech inclusivity, fairness, and ethics
- Experience in open-source projects
- Knowledge of multimodal machine learning

The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
