Scientist, Solvent Affinity Assessment

Summary: An exciting opportunity awaits to join an innovative team focusing on advancing diagnostic technologies. This individual will contribute to various stages of research, including analytical procedures on biological specimens, crucial for refining and introducing novel diagnostic solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with seasoned researchers to conceptualize experiments and establish methodologies.Execute laboratory techniques and protocols essential for experimental investigations.Conduct comprehensive tests and procedures using a range of laboratory apparatus and instrumentation.Ensure adherence to established laboratory standards and operational protocols.Maintain meticulous documentation of studies in accordance with prescribed documentation practices and archival policies.Monitor inventory levels of consumables, initiating supply orders as needed.Prepare requisite reagents for experimental procedures.Compile and analyze data derived from analyses, generating visual aids and reports for supervisor review.Maintain accurate and legible records throughout research endeavors.Manage, execute, and monitor daily project tasks, ensuring timely completion.Undertake routine upkeep and maintenance of laboratory facilities and equipment.Fulfill other duties as delegated by management.
Qualifications:
Holds a Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Chemistry, Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related scientific field from an accredited four-year institution.Possesses a robust understanding of research methodologies, protocols, and techniques, with particular expertise in protein quantification, analytical assays, and immunoassays.Demonstrates proficiency in analytical chemistry, including experience with protein separation and purification, with a preference for familiarity with HPLC methodologies.Exhibits competence in operating liquid handling robotics platforms (e.g., Hamilton, Tecan).Capable of analyzing and interpreting empirical data, developing coherent visual and written summaries.Prior exposure to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDP) standards.Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office applications.Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills.Displays a collaborative and team-oriented work ethic.Demonstrates adeptness in managing and prioritizing workload efficiently.
Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions/Equipment Used:
Requires fine motor skills and manual dexterity for the manipulation of specimens and laboratory equipment.May entail extended periods of standing.Visual acuity necessary for examining specimens and reagents.Occasional light lifting may be required.Ability to discern colors.Potential exposure to hazardous substances such as chemicals, biohazards, and radioactive materials.This position is exclusively onsite.
