**Job Summary**:Our Maintenance Worker (Weekday) will be required to perform general day-to-day maintenance duties and keep the grounds of the building in top condition. This includes, but isn't limited to, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash disposal, sanitization and raking leaves. Building custodial staff checks building perimeter, and other outdoor areas for trash. In colder climates, outdoor maintenance workers are typically assigned the responsibility of keeping walks and pathways cleared of snow and ice during the winter.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Maintain cleanliness of buildings and grounds as directed for the purpose of maintaining a healthy environment (including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning celling vents, restroom cleaning, trash disposal, sanitization, etc.)
- Provide maintenance services including; but not limited to waxing, mowing, leaf raking, snow removal and basic painting as directed to maintain the appearance and upkeep of the buildings and grounds.
- Remove waste as directed for the purpose of maintaining a hazardous free environment utilizing district approved removal and storage procedures.
- Maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical and security systems and building as directed.
- Ensures physical space is maintained and in good repair, by reviewing space and addressing needs for maintenance and general repairs - identified personally or by customers or other department staff.
- Ensures excellent working knowledge of department/facilities service offerings, office space/equipment, leadership, and key groups, and building and Family Focus protocols and procedures.
- Collaborates and trouble-shoots facilities related problems with other team members like daily cleaning crew, external vendors, and management.
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Supports building programming (internal/external), by assisting with set-up/breakdown for events/facility requests.
- Responsible for ensuring building guests respect all current building policies and procedures.
**Education and Experience**:
- High School Diploma/GED, or qualifications acceptable to the Board and at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English to understand directions and communicate with supervisors, staff, and program participants.
- Able to physically move about the building and grounds and lift 30-80 lbs.
- Minimum of 2 years of related facilities/custodial experience; preferably in a corporate, service-oriented, or customer-centric environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks and changing priorities. Must be able to respond to time-sensitive matters as well as longer-term initiatives.
- Must have reliable means of transportation.
This is a part-time non
- exempt position.
Hourly rate: $16.00 -25hrs/per week
Monday thru Friday: 6:30am - 11:30am
