**Summary**
Roycemore School seeks a new Director of Admissions and Financial Aid beginning immediately but no later than July 1, 2021. Now in its 105th year, Roycemore is a highly regarded, coeducational independent school for students from 3 years old through 12th grade. Located in Evanston, Illinois, on the northside of Chicago, Roycemore enjoys a long-standing relationship with Northwestern University.
The Director of Admissions and Financial Aid is a full time professional employee responsible for designing and implementing the entire student enrollment experience from first inquiry to the students commencement at school.
A proactive and driven leader, the Director will represent Roycemores tradition of excellence and innovation to further strengthen its reputation to attract and enroll mission-appropriate students. The successful candidate will enthusiastically embrace Roycemores mission, culture, and community in order to serve as an effective ambassador. The Director will report directly to the Head of School, and serve as a member of the Senior Administration Team.

**Essential Functions:**
* Develops admission criteria and goals for approval by the Head of School
* Develops and implements an admission process and calendar that supports the schools mission
* Oversees parent school visitations, tours, Open Houses, school fairs and other admissions activities
* Organizes student shadow days in collaboration with Division Heads.
* Meets with parents individually and/ or in groups to provide information, answer questions and secure the admission of qualified students
* Coordinates the staffing of employees, students and volunteers to meet admission activities
* Cultivates and maintains effective relations within the community at large; i.e. targeted feeder schools. community organizations, consultants, agency partners, churches, etc.
* Identifies and conducts outreach efforts such as Open Houses, Admissions Mornings, visits to feeder schools and other venues, and builds relationships with businesses and educational organizations
* Communicates promptly with those who contact the School by telephone or e-mail and assures that appropriate materials are provided promptly
* Leads efforts to prompt those who inquire about enrollment to follow through and apply for admission
* Gathers necessary information, including transcripts, reports and insights from previous schools and others who may have knowledge about candidates
* Schedules interviews of candidates
* Consults with Admissions Committee (Division Heads, faculty who meet and observe student, and, as appropriate, other School personnel) to make a timely decision regarding accepting a student
* Communicates the decisions of the Admissions Committee(s) to the families involved
* Takes all possible steps to assure that those who are admitted are converted to actual enrollments
* Tracks and reports data regarding inquiries, applicants, and acceptances to assure that families have regular information about Roycemore and that consistent efforts are taken to move families further along the enrollment funnel
* Serves as a member of the Marketing Committee of the Board
* Maintains admissions and enrollment statistics and provides status and achievement reports to administrators and/ or board members as directed
* Supports current Roycemore families through the re-enrollment and financial assistance processes.
* Oversees International Student Admissions and Marketing Program
* Serves as the Principal Designated School Official (PDSO) for SEVIS and takes responsibility for issuing I-20 visas to international students and collaborates with the International Family Liaison on all matters related to international students at Roycemore. Also, oversees the recertification process and other SEVP required updates.
* Coordinates Financial Aid Awards with the Business Office
* Collaborates with the Director of Marketing and Communications to develop all marketing materials and media to support admission goals and promote the school
* Collaborates with the Systems & Operations Coordinator to ensure smooth enrollment and re-enrollment processes as well as appropriate financial aid award allocations in student information systems
* Performs other duties as assigned by the Head of School.
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelors Degree required, Masters preferred, in education, business or related field and a minimum of five years of relevant experience in an office or educational setting, ideally in an independent school
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills
* Results-driven
* Familiarity with best practices in independent school admissions and financial aid
* Ability to maintain a climate of professionalism, advocacy and confidentiality
* Ability to use basic office equipment and applicable technology and software
* Ability to supervise and manage multiple functions and activities
* Strategic thinker who sees the larger picture
* Ability to understand and embrace Roycemore Schools mission
* Ability to balance and prioritize the needs of the school
* Ability to manage and mentor volunteers

**Physical Requirements and Work Environment:**
* Occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
* Generally works in standard office conditions and climate
* May work in varied extreme outside weather conditions during special activities and admissions/ marketing events
* Works in a very busy environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines and a varied and diverse array of contacts
* May work at a desk and computer for extended periods of time
* May require some nights and weekends

Seeking subs for elementary education, specifically Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 4. Substitute teachers must have teaching capabilities in multiple areas, the ability to establish effective working relationships with staff and students, the ability to address the various learning styles of students, and the ability to maintain effective classroom management strategies. Substitute teachers are called on an as needed basis and may be needed for one day, one week or a long term position. Substitute teachers arrive by 8AM, with classes beginning at 8:30AM, and generally ending by 3:30PM.
