**About this role**:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Risk Analytics Consultant to become a member of the Decision Strategy and Governance team in the Corporate Risk Consumer Credit Oversight organization. This team has responsibility for oversight of the development, implementation, and maintenance of front-line business strategies for both credit organizations and deposit processes which result in risk exposure. The person in this role will support these efforts by performing various analytical activities related to strategy development, implementation, and monitoring.

In executing the groups oversight function the DSG team examines artifact submissions from front line business organizations that are guided by standard checklists and forms. Artifacts are examined to ensure that they provide an accurate description of the front-line groups strategy related business processes and that these processes are executed in alignment with relevant corporate policies. In addition to oversight the team poses credible challenge to the strategy related work of front-line units based on expert knowledge and broad business exposure from across the enterprise.

**In this role, you will**:

- Participate in less complex analysis and modeling initiatives, and identify opportunity for process production, data reconciliation, and model documentation improvements within Risk Management.
- Review and analyze programing models to extract data, and manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling, and exercise independent judgment to guide new and existing projects with medium risk deliverables.
- Coordinate and consolidate the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for more experienced management.
- Present recommendations for resolving data reconciliation, production, and database issues.
- Exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in policy governance, risk projects, and regulatory requests.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, managers, experienced managers, compliance, including various lines of business.

**Required Qualifications, US**:

- 2+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Solid verbal and written communication skills, and basic MS Office Suite product skills to include (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, MS Word, etc...).
- Basic understanding of database technology and query tools (SAS, SQL, etc...).
- Solid analytical and quantitative skills.
- Ability to gather, analyze, package, and present analytical findings in an insightful and logical manner.
- Previous experience with credit risk strategy development and monitoring in financial service industry.
- Attention to detail, strong partnership, and problem-solving skills.
