**Description**

**GENERAL DESCRIPTION**: Performs complex (journey-level) electronic physical security work. Work involves installing, uninstalling, operating, programming, diagnosing, resolving issues, and decommissioning all electronic security equipment. Work is performed statewide with multi-agency groups (i.e., TLC, TFC, Office of Gov, DIR and SPB). Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment..

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Assists with planning and implementing projects from the design through install which includes the overall health of the project.

2. Reports on the progress, tracks spending, and documents all data associated with each project (e.g., Sever operating system, IP address,

8. Assists with special investigation requests and internal audits for internal divisions and external agencies on the departments multi agency shared

9. Attend work regularly and observe approved work hours in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies.

**Qualifications**

**GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS**:
**Education** - High School Diploma/equivalent required. Associate’s degree with Major or coursework emphasis in electronics or computer management systems preferred.

**Experience** - Minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing technical installation of security access control and video surveillance equipment.
Substitution Note: Additional work experience of the type described or other related education may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis.

**Licensure and/or Certification** - Must possess a valid driver license from state of residence.

**Regulatory knowledge** - Working knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly assimilate information related to TXDPS, State and Federal regulations, legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures.

**Technology** - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and appropriate levels of proficiency with utilized software and systems (e.g. CAPPS, SharePoint, Fac Connect) and be able to learn new software/systems.
