**APS- Finance Manager**

**Summary**: The Finance Manager will oversee all financial aspects of the stevedoring company including budgeting, reporting, invoicing, labor payroll and setup of financial systems.

**Essential Duties**:

- Work with COO to set up ILWU payroll system and reporting with the PMA.
- Work with ownership representative to set up all financial systems for new stevedoring company.
- Set up any reporting and communication required with the PMA.
- Work with COO and operational sites to set annual budget and P&L reporting as required by ownership.
- Set forecasts and budgets to analyze current and expected future realities.
- Handle month end close and do reporting as required by management. Analyze P&L and variances vs. budget.
- Develop all financial reporting as required by management and COO to give best financial analysis.
- Work with COO and operational sites to check revenue flow and track accounts payable and accounts receivable and reach out to customers as needed to follow up with delinquent payments.
- Work with COO to track customer contract status and updates of any new or renegotiated contracts and make sure operational sites understand parameters of the contracts.
- Work with ownership representative and management to establish capital expenditure procedures.
- Work with COO and operational sites to set up standardized invoicing procedures including operational site reporting and actual delivery of invoices to customers. Work with COO to study and analyze the stevedoring business and strategize how best to grow the business.

**Capabilities**:

- Must have extensive and detailed knowledge of managerial and leadership principles, with the ability to influence team members and lead a company of technically proficient individuals.
- Must have extensive knowledge of financial systems.
- Must understand and know how the finances of a stevedoring company work and they can be reported.
- The ability to exercise sound business judgment in order to set direction and establish priorities.
- Capable of executing exceptional time management, due to fast-moving, demanding work environment.
- The ability to exercise discretion and good judgment, with an ability to understand the effect of decisions within the company. Must have excellent customer service abilities as to establish long-term relationships with the customers and familiarity with customer's finance personnel.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience working in financial management
- 10 + years of financial services within a stevedoring company.
- Experience overseeing the finances of a stevedoring company or a division within a stevedoring company.
- Experience analyzing stevedoring contracts.
- Experience setting budgets for a stevedoring company or division within a stevedoring company.
- Experience analyzing a stevedoring company's financial results and variances.
- Experience with computerized operating systems.
- Experience with related union contracts and interfacing with PMA. Experience invoicing stevedoring contracts.
