Weekly Gross - 3200 for 40 hours

Position - Registered Nurse Clinical Educator

Location - Santa Barbara, CA

Shift - Day 8x5 (40 hrs. weekly)

Required:
(3) years clinical/teaching/leadership experience for perianesthesia related work experience required.

Clinical Perianesthesia Post Anesthesia Care Registered Nurse Expert (PACU CERTIFIED).

Demonstrated teaching and program development skills. Knowledge of supervisory practices, techniques, and methods for staff development.

Must have background in Preop and PACU

Must have Critical care skills (example: ICU, SICU, NICU, PICU)

Ability to exercise good judgment and tact in providing strong leadership, guidance, and assistance.

Acts as a role model for effective interpersonal skills including conflict management, negotiation and feedback.

Demonstrates proficiency in management accountabilities. Demonstrates initiative and self-improvement in job knowledge and skills.

Description:
Shift: 06:45 AM - 15:30 PM

Supports the standards, mission, goals, and objectives of Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital Surgical Services.

Responsible for the development, coordination and evaluation of the following programs: Surgical Services Perianesthesia orientation, staff development, and patient/family education.

Contributes to quality patient care through the direction and evaluation of the quality of the educational programs delivered as well as by following Cottage Health System’s and department specific policies and procedures.

Assumes a leadership role, is a resource for others on current educational theory, professional development, and evidence based practice.

Directs and assists assigned personnel with their responsibilities and builds teamwork through leadership, guidance and direction toward a common goal.

Demonstrates motivation, creativity, and flexibility; and serves as resource person and role model to other staff.

Collaborates with administration and department directors/managers on the development of programs to meet those needs.

Assures that staff educational programs promote and support professional development and those patient/family educational programs promote and support hospital and community health education activities.

Leads and teaches others, and through positive communication skills, actively supports a collaborative environment in the promotion of health, wellness and education for positive patient outcomes.

Pay: $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
