Outdoor Carousel Play Space Coordinator

The Bryant Park Corporation seeks part-time staff for an **Outdoor Kids Space Coordinator**:
Lead kid’s crafts and activities as you coordinate a space in one of New York’s best parks. This is a great part time employment opportunity for college students who like to work outside and love children. This is a part-time seasonal position that is outdoors.
Bryant Park Carousel Liaisons work 23-30 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Responsible, energetic, and flexible
- Love working with children
- Ability to work independently
- Possess strong communication and observational skills
- Ability and desire to work outdoors in all weather
- Possess a “no job too small” attitude
- Ability to take direction, but also adapt to changing situations as needed
- Must be able to work weekends
Duties include:
- Interact with visitors of the park politely and patiently
- Engage and support children with play-based activities
- Provide a safe and fun environment in which both children and parents feel comfortable
- Lead activities such as arts and crafts for children
- Fill in as needed with hosting birthday parties
- Suggest and brainstorm creative ideas with coworkers and management
The position is for a May-September season. Hours are typically 9 am to 5pm with some variations.
