**Description**:
- The Educational data and technology specialist performs critical student data support activities in special education systems, CALPADS and iTAAP. This role requires intricate knowledge of IDEA CFR 300, title 5 California Code of Regulations and CA state data systems such as CALPADS, CBEDS, SECMS, reporting timelines and associated functions. Previous experience with various Student Information Systems, SPED and testing platforms is highly desirable along with LEA compliance requirements as stated in SPP or local indicators.**Responsibilities**:
- Serves as a single point of client contact for all data support activities for CALPADS, MTSS and iTAAP.
- Assists in promoting development and understanding of iTAAP amongst its user base.
- Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of a variety of program activities.
- Meet with committees and discuss recommended changes; provide guidance and advice to teachers and administrators.
- Assist in the development of best practices and procedures for multiple LEAs.
- If credentialed, writes and conducts instructional and academic programs; determine options and alternatives; consult with other professional staff; observe and work with teachers; monitor students’ curriculum progress.
- Assist in the planning, development, and implementation of staff development and inservice training; provide teachers and other education staff with support material and resources.
- Serve as a liaison with support personnel and other public and private agencies; assist in maintaining follow-up and referral service.
- Prepare specialized brochures, surveys, and other descriptive promotional materials for local, state, and national distribution.
- Respond to school agencies’ requests for new or revised programs and services.
- Develop and edit field support materials which will facilitate the delivery of instructional and academic programs.
- Assists with data driven MTSS program implementation
- Assist in providing training workshops, conferences, and in-services.
- Consult with other professional staff and consultants regarding programs to which they are assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to follow through with tasks with mínimal or no supervision
Knowledge, Skill & Other Requirements:
- Must be legally eligible to work in California
- Administrative credential is highly desirable
- Demonstrated expertise on compliance and data collection, reporting and corrections for public school districts.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, and with advanced knowledge of PowerPoint.
- Previous experience with new product development is desirable.
- Degree in Education, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role, particularly within an educational setting, is highly desirable.**Salary**:
$75,000 - $111,000 per year
