IT Support Specialist

North Branch, United States Vollers Inc. Full time

**Position Purpose**:Provide technology support for all Vollers employees, both internal and field operations. Assist the IT Manager to trouble shoot problems, plan for future improvements, implement new technology, and train Vollers’ employees.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist as needed in creating the scope of work and budget for all software and hardware items required by Vollers.
- Configure desktops, laptops, cell phones, and printers.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
- Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation.
- Install, configure and test new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.
- Assign users and computers to proper groups in Active Directory.
- Ensure timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required.
- Document internal & field related procedures.
- Maintain inventory of all equipment, software, and software licenses.
- Assist users with hardware/software issues.
- Work with MSP to resolve user issues.
- Work with MSP on infrastructure projects.
- Record the solutions to issues for future reference if needed.
- Assist in monitoring servers/network/backups.
- Work with vendors.
- Inventory.
- Troubleshoot Vollers owned software and assist in managing vendor support as needed.
- Create/change custom reports. (with assistance of consultant if needed)
- Follow up with users to make sure issue is resolved/give updates as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.

**Knowledge & Skills**:

- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with active listening ability.
- Good knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, and network technologies.
- Hands-on experience with common software and hardware.
- Excellent relationship builder; able to demonstrate a high level of tact, discretion and diplomacy with all internal and external customers. Must also demonstrate the ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
- Must be able to think strategically, critically evaluate situations and be detail oriented.
- Ability to adhere to policies, guidelines and rules set forth; promotes the Vollers safety policy.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
