**Responsibilities**:
50%

1. Performs difficult accounting work utilizing an automated accounting system.
- Receives, sorts, and verifies invoices received from Program Development, Project Implementation, Operations, and Administration.
- Reviews invoices for completeness, accuracy, and availability of funds.
- Matches invoices with the field purchase authority form with appropriate expenditure approval.
- Verifies correct obligation and expenditure coding
- Scans invoices with Knowledge Lake Scanning software.
- Enters invoices into FOA to schedule and approves for payment.

2. Reviews all travel vouchers for appropriate reimbursement and supporting documentation.
- Approves and schedules all travel and lodging invoices for payment.
- Maintains Excel spreadsheet for tracking travel expenditures by bureau.

3. Reviews all invoices for Land Acquisition for remittance of monthly invoices for rental property owned by the state of Illinois.
- Process invoices, relocation fees, SAGS, property appraisals, and incidentals.

4. Verifies vendor certification through SAMS prior to scheduling invoice for payment.
- Contacts the vendor to obtain W-9 to certify their Tax Identification number with the IOC.

5. Reconciles vendor payments against vendor statement.
- Corrects any payment discrepancies directly with the vendor.

6. Processes payments for employee-related reimbursements.

7. Performs other duties as assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of two years of college and completion of an approved training course or three years of related clerical bookkeeping experience.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Prefer working knowledge of office methods and procedures.
- Prefer working knowledge of accounting techniques.

**Conditions of Employment**:

- Successful completion of a background screening.
