The incumbent works under the formal supervision of the Research Scientist Supervisor I (Chief of the Environmental and Occupational Emergency Preparedness Team).
- As a member of the Environmental and Occupational Emergency Preparedness Team within the Center for Healthy Communities, the incumbent will focus on engaging community, public health, environmental health, and emergency management stakeholders. The incumbent will (1) assist with identifying, responding to, and recovering from environmental and occupational emergencies, (2) provide technical assistance as well as create communication and outreach materials, and (3) coordinate and collaborate across a wide variety of partner organizations to identify local gaps and unmet needs. The incumbent will also support the team’s workplan and deliverables. Minimal travel may be involved up to 10%. In-state, overnight stays are expected and occasionally deployment may be required on short notice.
- **This is a Limited-Term, Full-Time position that may be extended and/or become Permanent in the future.**
