**Job Summary**:
The Piping Designer I will be responsible for producing piping deliverables for the EPC Terminals piping department for EPC terminal/facility projects within the midstream oil & gas markets. Duties will include working with the project piping lead on projects to produce all facets of piping deliverables.

**Primary Job Function**:

- Pickup redlines on piping deliverables.
- Organize piping packages for issue and checking.
- Work under the direction/supervision of the piping lead.
- Update piping 3D models as required using CADWorx Plant / AutoCAD.
- Model 3D Equipment using CADWorx Equipment and vendor drawings.
- Perform site visits for P&ID walkdowns and as-built sketches of piping, structures, etc.
- Work with laser scan data using Autodesk Recap & Navisworks to 3D model and also extract images for tie-in/demo photos.
- Assist with creating and maintaining piping lists using Microsoft Excel (Iso Tracking, Tie-in’s, Specialty Items, Manual Valves, Line Designations, Document Index)
- Create and modify orthographic drawings such as Piping Plans, Plot Plans, Equipment Location Plans & Sections.
- Assist with writing piping scope of work documents.
- Support the piping lead in laying out equipment, piping, and pipe supports.
- Support and follow direction from the Piping, Division Lead.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 2+ years of terminal and/or midstream facility experience as a designer, 4+ years preferred, or 6+ years combined experience as a drafter & designer.
- Field experience walking down P&ID’s and field sketching piping and structures.
- 3D Design experience with AutoCAD, CADWorx Plant, Navisworks, and laser scan software such as Recap.
- Designing piping systems to meet ASME B31.3, API 520/610/686, etc.
- Developing all facets of piping deliverables from start to finish.

**Education/Training**:

- Associates degree in CAD Design or Engineering Technology is preferred. Certificate in CAD and/or equivalent work experience will also be considered.

- Follows Strike CAD standards and procedures to complete drafting tasks.
