**PARK MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT -OCOTILLO WELLS DISTRICT / STATE VEHICLE RECREATION AREA**

The reporting location for this position is the Ocotillo Wells Trails Office at 5172 Highway 78 in Borrego Springs CA 92004. This position reports to the Park Maintenance Chief III.
- Under the supervision of the Park Maintenance Supervisor, the Park Maintenance Assistant will provide leadership for the District’s trail crew seasonal employees. The position may act as liaison with volunteer and stakeholder groups on behalf of the District for road and trail related projects. As part of the trails team, he/she will be responsible for facility maintenance of the district signs, fences, and trails. The position will participate in providing leadership to seasonal trail staff along with leading seasonal employees in other service areas or park units within the District as directed.
- Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

This position is designated as not telework eligible.
