**Purpose of Position**:
Under supervison, performs routine security inspections of buildings and grounds to protect agaist trespassers and property damage and /or loss. Performs related work as required.

**Examples of Typical Tasks**:

- Makes periodic inspections tours throughout buildings and grounds to examine doors, windows, gates, locks and equipment.
- Checks for trespassers, fires, leask from water or steam lines, or any other causes which might reutls in property damage and/or loss.
- Discourages loitering, prevents trespassing and maintains order.
- Answers telephones and doorbells.

**Minimum Qualifications**

1. A valid New York State Security Guard registration card issued by the Department of State; and

2. Satisfactory completion of a 16-hour On-the-Job Training (OJT) course within 90 days of employment

Pay: $18.59 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
