**PARK MAINTENANCE CHIEF III - NORTHERN BUTTES DISTRICT/ DISTRICT OFFICE- OROVILLE**

The reporting location for this position is the Northern Buttes District Office in Oroville, CA. This position reports to the District Superintendent II.
- This position supervises the sector Maintenance Chiefs and district-wide specialists including the State Park Equipment Operator, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Water and Sewer Plant Treatment Supervisor. Major programs for which the District Maintenance Chief has responsibility include the Water/Wastewater, Roads and Trails, Preservation and Restoration, Property Inventory, MAXIMO, Fleet Management and Maintenance, Maintenance Safety, Pest Management, Construction Management, Waste Diversion, and ADA Compliance programs. The District Maintenance Chief coordinates with other District Program Managers and the District Superintendent for the overall maintenance, development and operation of district facilities and assets.
- This position requires a valid class C driver’s license.
- Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

Working Conditions
- This position is designated as telework eligible office centered.
- The work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant orders, and/or loud noises. The work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Outdoor work is common. Typical work activities involve frequent and prolonged periods of standing and walking.
