Alotten, a strategic talent management company, has been retained by a medical sales company to assist with recruiting for a Sales Development Representative. The role will support growth in the life sciences laboratory market. The client’s equipment is used in the identification and recognition of laboratory samples found in biotech, pharmaceutical, forensic, biobank and medical research laboratories.

**The Opportunity**

In this position, you will be a key member of the sales team, leading growth at the top of the sales funnel by reaching new potential customers. Duties include generating prospects, driving tradeshow attendance, and re-contacting lost opportunities. You will liaison with marketing, sales, and sales management to assist in ensuring the company reaches its goals.

**Responsibilities**
- Developing sales strategies to draw in potential buyers or to solicit new potential customers
- Creating relationships with prospects to identify their potential needs and qualify their interests and viability to drive sales
- Presenting product information to customers once you have identified their needs
- Driving tradeshow attendance and assisting with related sales responsibilities as needed
- Following up with prospects who expressed interest but did not purchase
- Collaborating with sales executives to ensure the company’s goals and target are met
- Travel to tradeshows as well as client installs as needed

**Experience, Skills, & Abilities**
- Good telephone etiquette and computer literacy skills
- Goal oriented to achieve outbound requirements weekly/monthly
- Previous experience in high volume sales work with demonstrated growth results is a plus
- Creativity to develop new outbound strategies and techniques
- Strong communication skills and a true team player
- Good time management and analytical skills

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
