**_ The Big Task_**
You will diagnose and repair Generators and lead customers to informed and confident buying decisions by providing an extraordinary customer experience.
**_ Key Sub Tasks_**
- **3-5 Years Experience as a **Generator Maintenance and Repair Technician** Working for a Licensed Contractor.**:
- Electrical and generator knowledge
- Perform Preventative Maintenance on our customers generators
- Diagnose/Troubleshoot generators that have issues or are not working properly
- Explain to customer if their generator has an issue and how you would be able to fix it
- Provide repair options to the customer
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver s license.
- Maintain communication with dispatch, your manager and installation teams.
- Know how to establish customer rapport to present the right products and services.
- Understand sales criteria and hold yourself accountable for meeting and exceeding revenue goals.
- Keep your company truck clean, inside/out and inventory up to date.
- Properly complete paperwork.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Participate in training allowing you to grow and develop as a professional.
- Train and mentor apprentices.
- Have or be willing to get the proper certifications. We can help you with this.
- Must be able to successfully complete mathematical aptitude evaluation.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, crawl, climb, and lift for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and work from ladder up to two stories in height.**_ _**
**Qualifications**
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. This individual must be willing to pursue, develop and participate in continuing education. The Service Technician must meet or exceed shop minimums set for the Dot Program or its equivalent.
**_ Additional Information:_**
This position will require working indoors and outdoors in various climate conditions ranging from cold with rain to very hot and humid. This includes attics, crawl spaces, and confined locations.
Typical workweek is eight (8) to ten (10) hour workdays five (5) days per week with occasional weekend work and remember **_NO ON CALL SHIFTS._**
