Job Title: Generator Technician

Bemana Power Recruitment is seeking a skilled Generator Technician to join our team in the greater Coral Springs, FL area. As a Generator Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing, modifying, and diagnosing standby power generators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct start-ups, PM service, and load bank tests on standby power generators
  • Maintain and repair ATSs (both regular and bypass units)
  • Work on a variety of commercial/industrial customer sites, including hospitals, nursing homes, office buildings, fire stations, correctional facilities, and events
  • Service a variety of brands of power generation equipment, including Kohler, Cummins, MTU, Generac, CAT, and others
  • Operate, drive, and maintain company service trucks and parts inventory
  • Check and repair supporting systems, such as fuel, cooling, and electrical systems
  • Clean, check, recondition, and determine the reusability of used parts
Requirements:
  • Experience working on standby generators and related equipment up to 2 Mw
  • Able to conduct load bank tests and perform full PMs
  • Experience working on ATSs and other electrical equipment
  • Able to work overtime and on weekends when necessary
  • Natural gas and/or diesel engine knowledge
  • Must have own tools or ability to obtain tools if offered the position
  • Strong written and verbal English skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently in the field
  • Successfully able to obtain certifications
