**About the Position**

This position is located at our customer site location at Joint Base MDL-Lakehurst. In this position, you will work our customer’s Compressed Work Schedule which consists of working four 9-hour days (M-Th) and an 8-hour day (F) for the first week of a cycle followed by four 9-hour days (M-Th) and being off on the second Friday for the second week of a cycle. This results in a 3-day weekend every other week

**Job responsibilities**
- Provide general user system administration and IT helpdesk support.
- Provide support for all aspects of Windows workstation and server administration.
- Provide basic troubleshooting network problems.
- Providing technical support by evaluating and resolving Windows server, and workstation problems.
- Provide technical support by evaluating and resolving workstation and network problems.
- Ability to work independently to install new hardware from box to production in rack.

**Position Qualification Requirements**

**Education, Certifications and Years of Experience**:

- Must have at least 2 years’ experience performing a majority of the help desk functions listed above. It is preferred that at least 1 year of this experience be on Department of Defense IT systems.
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or the ability to obtain this certification within 60 days of hire) is required.
- Must have an active clearance at the Secret level with the ability to obtain a clear Single Scope Background Investigation. If no active clearance, must be able to obtain an interim secret level clearance prior to starting in this position.

**Technical**:

- Helpdesk Support experience
- IT Customer service experience
- Windows Server/desktop experience is desired
- Office365 Experience
- Experience patching systems to maintain proper cyber security protection posture.
- Experience with Windows and Linux workstation administration is desired.
- A solid overall information technology background.
- Experience working in a held help desk environment for ticket creation/resolution.
- Experience troubleshooting VPN issues for remote users.

**Security Clearance Notice**:
Applicants selected must have a U.S. Government security clearance of secret level or higher and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Occasional travel may be required. Trips are generally 3 to 5 days in length.
