Job Title: Help Desk Technician

The Help Desk Technician will carry out various systems administration tasks to sustain IT networks as directed by the Government IT Lead. This role demands a current Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the Program Office's primary contact point for receiving, tracking, resolving, and escalating service requests.
  • Aid in system account and token requests.
  • Offer phone and on-site support to users in the Program Office.
  • Establish plans and deadlines for tasks and provide updates as needed.
  • Represent the NMCI Point of Contact (POC) to manage the acquisition and tech refresh of NMCI assets.
  • Execute Assured File Transfer (AFT) operations across multiple classified networks adhering to documented protocols.
  • Collaborate with other teams for the deployment of hardware and software infrastructure.
  • Report daily issues such as network outages, system failures, and noncompliance to cybersecurity staff and stakeholders in line with relevant regulations.
  • Follow IS security laws to support network operations effectively.
  • Assist in managing COMSEC network devices.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Requirements:
  • Education / Certifications: Equivalent experience may substitute for education, when necessary.
    • High School diploma
    • Possess DoD Approved Baseline Certification as Information Assurance Technical Level I compliant with DoD M/8140 (e.g., Security+ CE).
    • This role necessitates a current Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
  • Experience:
    • Demonstrated experience at IAT Level I supporting network enterprise (NE) knowledge and skills.
    • Proven work background in the Information Technology sector. Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity policies or technical solutions, along with experience with Windows operating systems.
