Executive Secretaries and Administrative Assistants
Location: Buffalo, NY Pay Rate: Contract Duration: 2 Years Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Hours: 37.5 hours per week; flexible scheduling within the 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM timeframe Work Arrangement: On-site, with the possibility of up to 50% telecommuting
Position Summary
The Office of General Counsel (OGC) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary / Paralegal to provide legal and administrative support to the General Counsel, First Deputy General Counsel, and Director of Trade Practices.
The incumbent will work closely with OGC attorneys, investigators, respondents, court reporters, and administrative staff in support of legal proceedings and case management. The position will perform a variety of paralegal and legal administrative activities, including preparing legal documents, organizing hearing materials, maintaining case files and tracking systems, conducting legal research, preparing subpoenas and correspondence, and assisting attorneys with hearings and other confidential legal matters.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Duties include but are not limited to: ïƒ~ Answering phones, screening and directing incoming calls to appropriate parties ïƒ~ Screening and directing visitors ïƒ~ Scheduling room reservations ïƒ~ Assisting with meetings ïƒ~ Assisting Admin Team with projects ïƒ~ Typing documents ïƒ~ Updating databases ïƒ~ Incoming and Outgoing Mail responsibilities ïƒ~ Working with paper and electronic files Makes up Orientation Packets ïƒ~ Other tasks as assigned
Professional phone skills Excellent organization skills and attention to detail Ability to multi-task and work in a team setting Good Administrative Assistant skills including typing, filing, copying, scanning Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including: o Office 365 Email and creating calendar reservations o Word o Excel o PowerPoint o Access
This is a 37.5-hour-per-week position with a Monday through Friday schedule. Work hours are flexible between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM and may be discussed during the interview process.
