Work Environment

This position will be conducted remotely, allowing flexibility while still maintaining a structured work schedule of Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Wellmore Health Center, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are essential for our mission:

  • Acting as a liaison between families and outpatient providers to coordinate effective mental health services tailored to each student's needs.

  • Managing interactions with insurance companies regarding pre-certification and utilization management to facilitate access to necessary services.

  • Engaging in comprehensive discharge planning and aftercare discussions to ensure a smooth transition for clients back into their home or school environments.

  • Providing therapeutic meal support, where you will model healthy relationships with food and wellness, integrating nutritional education into mental health care.

  • Delivering safe, empathetic, and affirming care while considering the complex identities and experiences of each client to inform tailored interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will primarily focus on students from various backgrounds, including those with intersecting identities and unique challenges. This diverse clientele may include youth facing mental health issues, trauma, and socio-economic barriers, requiring sensitivity and adherence to best practices in social work. Your understanding of the school environment will be crucial in providing appropriate interventions to enhance their academic and social success.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from a recognized and accredited institution.

  • A valid LCSW license in the state of Arizona is required.

  • Demonstrated experience in providing mental health services to older adults is essential to ensure a breadth of understanding in client needs.

  • Exceptional clinical and diagnostic skills are mandatory to accurately assess and respond to varying client situations.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively build rapport with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

  • The ability to work both independently, with self-direction, and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience

while not mandatory, prefer candidates who have experience in school settings or with adolescent mental health. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and teletherapy platforms is also advantageous.
