Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual therapy sessions with clients using video conferencing technology, providing a convenient platform for both therapist and client.
• Assess and diagnose mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, grief, and stress, utilizing evidence-based assessment tools.
• Develop treatment plans tailored to individual client needs, employing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Educate clients about mental health issues and coping mechanisms, aiming to empower them in managing their conditions effectively.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and treatment progress, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance, facilitating the development of strategies that help clients make informed decisions about their mental health.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to support the overall health and well-being of clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will work with include stable adults seeking to improve their mental well-being. They are pre-screened to ensure they can benefit from teletherapy interventions, making your role focused on moderately low-acuity cases. The supportive environment and your expertise will be key in helping these individuals achieve better mental health outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.
• Strong understanding and practical experience in mood disorder treatment methodologies.
• Exceptional communication skills, fostering rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Two or more years of post-licensure experience, particularly focusing on mood disorders.
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based therapies such as CBT and DBT.
• A solid grasp of psychopharmacology and the ability to work collaboratively with psychiatrists for integrated care.
• A history of successful client outcomes and satisfaction.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary in the range of USD $100,000 – $125,000 based on hours worked and experience.
