Our client is one of the leading Affordable Care Act sellers in America. They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Reporting Analyst to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and analyzing business reports to provide valuable insights that drive decision-making across departments. You will collaborate with teams to support their goals through data-driven recommendations, identify trends, and ensure the accuracy of financial and business data.

This role is a 1099 contract with full-time hours.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and implement business analysis, standard, and on-demand reports, along with data recording systems, tailored to the needs of different departments across the organization.
  • Maintain, update, and optimize databases to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and availability for reporting purposes.
  • Regularly examine data reports to identify and resolve discrepancies or errors, ensuring the reliability and consistency of the data.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret business data to generate actionable reports for various stakeholders.
  • Develop business reports that highlight key data points and offer insights into performance, financial trends, and operational efficiency.
  • Present data analysis findings and reports in both written and verbal formats to management and relevant stakeholders, translating complex data into clear insights.
  • Provide ongoing support to multiple departments, including marketing, sales, and operations, using data analysis to assist them in reaching their goals.
  • Regularly monitor key business and financial data to identify shifts in trends, emerging issues, or areas of improvement.
  • Work closely with business units to identify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to the development of more efficient reporting and data management strategies.
  • Assist in the decision-making process by providing accurate, timely, and actionable data insights to leadership and other teams.

Skills & Requirements

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience as a Reporting Analyst, Financial Analyst, or Business Analyst, with a proven track record of working with data and reporting systems.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel (advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis tools, and charts), and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
  • Strong analytical abilities with experience in data interpretation, reporting, and creating insights to support business strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively explain complex data and provide clear insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High level of attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies or inconsistencies in data that could impact business decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess business needs, analyze data, and provide recommendations for improving operations.
  • General understanding of business operations, including objectives, strategies, processes, and information flow across the organization.
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams, understanding their unique data needs and collaborating to create solutions that align with business goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with financial data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific metrics and KPIs.
