Our financial services client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Analyst to join their team on a direct-hire basis. This is an onsite position (4 days onsite, 1 day wfh) based at their in Houston, TX, offering an exciting opportunity for a professional with up to 3 years of experience in financial reporting or related fields. Only candidates currently residing in Houston, TX will be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting and data integrity.
  • Support the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Analyze variances and provide insights into financial performance.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed financial reporting schedules and reconciliations.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in financial reporting.
  • Other ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as required.

Qualifications:

  • Up to 3 years of experience as a Financial Reporting Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong Excel skills are a must (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
  • Public accounting experience is preferred.
  • CPA track and/or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
