Work Schedule: this position is intended to work year around, 10-15 hours per week. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays. =========================== Prior to hiring, the final candidate may be subject to work/education/certification reference(s) and pass a criminal background and driver's license check. CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATION Example of Duties: Watches over ice skaters (on the ice, while skating), ensuring safe activity. Assists with skate lessons and scorekeeping. Passes out and cleans skates. Sells beverages and snacks. Operates POS cash register and adheres to cash handling policies. Maintains safe working conditions and sanitary work area. Performs basic cleaning (sweeping, mopping and trash removal). Provides great customer service. Interacts with customers and coworkers in a pleasant and professional manner. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Essential Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to skate. Ability to accurately count and handle money. Knowledge of basic food safety and handling. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including providing excellent customer service. Ability to establish and maintain effective working and public relations with co-workers, supervisors, and the public. Ability to effectively interact with sensitivity with persons from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, ethnic, and professional backgrounds, and persons of all ages and lifestyles. Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push/pull, and lift up to 10-20 lbs. on an occasional basis. You must meet these Minimum Training and Experience requirements: 15 years of age 8th grade education. Some recent cash handling and customer service work experience.
