Work Schedule: this position is intended to work year around, 10-15 hours per week. CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATION Example of Duties: Supervises part-time staff. Operates ice equipment. Assists in running "Learn to Skate". Watches over ice skaters (on the ice, while skating), ensuring safe activity. Operates POS cash register and adheres to cash handling policies. Opens and closes the facility. Provides great customer service. Interacts with customers and coworkers in a pleasant and professional manner. Maintains safe working conditions and sanitary work area. Performs basic cleaning (sweeping, mopping, and trash removal). Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Essential Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to skate. Ability to provide, and follow, oral and written instructions. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including providing excellent customer service. Ability to safely operate equipment necessary to perform the duties of the position. Ability to establish and maintain effective working and public relations with co-workers, supervisors, and the public. Ability to effectively interact with sensitivity with persons from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, ethnic, and professional backgrounds, and persons of all ages and lifestyles. Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push/pull, and lift up to 10-20 lbs. on an occasional basis. You must meet these Minimum Training and Experience requirements: 18 years of age 8th grade education. Valid driver's license. Some recent supervisory work experience. Some recent cash handling and customer service work experience. Preferred: Operation of ice equipment.
