Position Information Classification Title Res Assc-Social Science III FLSA Exempt FTE .475 Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in a related field of science and 5 years of professional experience Preferred Qualifications Position Summary This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Ph.D. to get training, experience and to develop a skill set to support continued professional growth as a researcher/academic. The individual will be mentored and supervised by the CLASE executive director. This position has a limited term appointment term which is expected to end [2 years] after start date. The position may be extended beyond the initial term, contingent upon continued funding. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Demonstrated experience in conducting research and publishing in peer-reviewed journals. Strong knowledge of Latino education Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Strong writing and research skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Grant development and grant writing preferred. Strong organizational and project management skills Proficiency in data analysis software and research methodologies Physical Demands Normal office environment- Sitting for extended periods, continued viewing of computer screen analyzing data. Conduct and/or oversee reviews of the literature Publish research findings in peer-reviewed academic journals Support ongoing external grant writing and research funding initiatives.
