Psychiatric Care Specialist The role of a Psychiatric Care Specialist involves creating and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients with mental health issues. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist with daily living tasks (ADLs) and provide basic care to patients. Lead or co-lead groups and facilitate discussions on mental health topics. Conduct regular safety checks and ensure a secure environment for patients. Perform 1:1 meetings with patients to discuss their progress and concerns. Document patient vital signs and intake/output data accurately. Requirements: A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required. Current Basic Life Support certification by the American Heart Association is necessary. At least one year of experience in inpatient clinical mental health is preferred. Experience working with adult patients with mental health issues is highly desirable. Qualifications: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role. The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion is critical. Why this Role?
