Job Title -Superintendent Electrical - International Location -Various International locations Rewards of Working at Caddell -Medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k, referral bonuses, ability to reassign to other global projects at completion and paid vacation. What You Will Do Works closely with Project Superintendent and Project Manager, and home office Electrical Procurement Coordinator as required, in formulating, discussing and finalizing the overall plan of operations, job layout, job schedule, etc. Manages the day-to-day work of crafts and subcontractors in field, delegates work through foreman and/or subcontractor representatives. Must work with subcontractors of different cultures and languages. Maintains regular communications with project staff to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule. Reviews plans and specifications of job, job budget and estimate with project manager and project superintendent to ensure that quantities, values, manpower requirements and deliveries of various divisions of job are understood. Participates in weekly progress meetings with subcontractors. Assists in preparation of plan at beginning of job for receiving, storing and handling materials as required. Assists in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.) as required. Maintains best possible relationship with owner and architectural-engineering firm associated with job. Strives to develop spirit of cooperation and respect between Caddell and representatives of the other partners on the project. Performs additional assignments per Project Manager's and Project Superintendent's direction. Working Conditions- Construction setting, travel required, full time. Must have the ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for longs periods of time, lift and hold in excess of 50lbs, talk, hear and occasionally sit. Must have the ability to withstand confined spaces and or/extreme heights while negotiating tasks at hand in a safe manner to themselves and/or others. Subject to hot, cold, humid and wet conditions depending on location. Requires excellent technical and management skills. Strong client relations skills are a must. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage costs and control schedule. Excellent knowledge of safety requirements. Ability to coach, lead and motivate multinational and multi-disciplined employees. Shows leadership, concise execution of plans, vision of project future, and effective communication of vision to subordinates, integrity and strong communication skills. Education / Experience -Minimum high school/GED and 15 years total construction management experience (with at least five years design/build experience with electrical systems) required. Four-year degree in building science, construction management or engineering and 10 years total construction management experience (with minimum five years design/build experience with electrical systems) preferred. Certifications, Licenses, etc.: - (Should be able to submit certifications upon request and obtain a medical clearance before deployment) Current clearance, or the ability to obtain, a Department of Defense minimum secret security clearance required. U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance required.
