Position: Staff Engineer I Location: Joint Base (JB) Langley ' Hampton, VA Summary: DAWSON is seeking, on contingency of contract award, a Staff Engineer to support the Air Force Information Network (AFIN). This role involves collaboration with operational and engineering teams to ensure the integration and sustainment of systems crucial for the digital communications infrastructure of the Department of the Air Force (DAF). Roles and Responsibilities: * Liaison Duties: * Serve as a liaison between operational communities and the program management office (PMO) for effective communication and support. * Program Coordination: * Facilitate the integration and operational fielding of AFLCMC/ The Government Program Office Project Managers programs across various bases. * Keep MAJCOM and base personnel informed about program statuses, progress, and related issues. * Reporting and Support: * Provide monthly reports on work accomplished, ongoing issues, and risks. * Support the AFIN Response Center (ARC) with incident management and remediation. * Engineering and Technical Support: * Plan, support, and troubleshoot AFLCMC/ The Government Program Office Project Managers projects through approved Field Engineering Representative (FER) Task Requests. * Conduct engineering efforts, both on and off-site, including equipment configuration, troubleshooting, and installations. * Project Management: * Coordinate data calls and site surveys. * Execute quality control and resolve design issues during project implementation. * Travel: * Travel to various bases as required to meet PMO and operational mission needs. Required Skills, Education, and Experience: * Education: * Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. * Experience: * A minimum of 3 years of experience, with a preference for DoD program involvement. * Relevant experience in project management and technical engineering within defense or IT sectors. * Certifications: * ITIL Foundation v3 or higher. * Certified Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II. * Project+ certification. * CompTIA Cloud+ or higher. * Skills: * Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. * Strong technical and analytical abilities. * Security Clearance: * A valid DoD Secret clearance is mandatory. NATO Secret and/or DoD Top Secret/SSBI clearances, adjudicated for SCI eligibility, may be required depending on location. *Position is Contingent Upon Award DAWSON is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action/VEVRAA federal contractor.
