Position: Staff Engineer II Location: Joint Base (JB) Langley ' Hampton, VA Summary: DAWSON is seeking, on contingency of contract award, Staff Engineers to support the Air Force Information Network (AFIN). This role is critical for integrating and testing enterprise-wide tools, equipment, and media, ensuring robust network infrastructure across various Air Force bases globally. Roles and Responsibilities: * Liaison and Coordination: * Serve as a liaison between operational communities and sustainment teams, facilitating communication and collaboration. * Coordinate with The Government Program Office Project Managers Project Managers and Major Command (MAJCOM) A6s for program upgrades and implementations. * Engineering Support: * Provide engineering support for AFLCMC/ The Government Program Office Project Managers projects, focusing on integration and operational deployment. * Validate and verify Technical Orders (TOs) and Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs). * Incident and Response Management: * Support the AFIN Response Center (ARC) with incident communication, remediation, and escalations. * Reporting and Documentation: * Create and submit monthly Field Engineering Representative (FER) reports detailing activities, issues, and risks. * Project Management: * Assist in project planning, engineering, and troubleshooting. * Develop change requests within the Enterprise IT Service Management (EITSM) framework. * Oversee project budgets and schedule creation to ensure timely and compliant project completion. * Operational Support: * Conduct data calls and site surveys to support program needs. * Promote awareness of sustainment services within operational teams. * Site Leadership: * One Staff Engineer II per site will act as the primary liaison to the deputy program manager (DPM) and oversee other team members' activities at the site. * Travel Requirements: * Travel to various bases as required to meet PMO and operational mission needs. Required Skills, Education, and Experience: * Education: * Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. * Experience: * A minimum of 5 years of experience, with a preference for DoD program involvement. * Relevant experience in project management and technical engineering within defense or IT sectors. * Certifications: * ITIL Foundation v3 or higher. * Certified Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II. * Project+ certification is potentially required. * Preferably CompTIA Cloud+ or higher. * Skills: * Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. * Strong technical and analytical capabilities. * Travel and Coordination: * Ability to travel to support Air Force bases and coordinate data calls and site surveys. * Security Clearance: * A valid DoD Secret clearance is mandatory. NATO Secret and/or DoD Top Secret/SSBI clearances, adjudicated for SCI eligibility, may be required depending on location. *Position is Contingent Upon Award DAWSON is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action/VEVRAA federal contractor.
