Job Description * Manage all day-to-day on-site construction activities for big-box retail projects. * Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, trades, and site personnel to ensure efficient workflow. * Enforce safety protocols and compliance with OSHA and local building codes. * Monitor project schedules and progress, proactively addressing delays or issues. * Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to maintain standards. * Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, and change orders. * Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and documentation for project tracking. * Communicate effectively with Project Managers, clients, and stakeholders regarding site status. * Coordinate material deliveries and ensure proper inventory management. * Resolve on-site conflicts and provide solutions to keep projects on track. * Prepare for and manage inspections with local authorities and ensure compliance. * Uphold company standards for professionalism and client satisfaction. The Successful Applicant A successful Superintendent should have: * Ability to interpret and work with construction plans and specifications. * Proven experience as a Superintendent managing large-scale retail construction projects (big-box preferred). * Deep knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and South Florida permitting requirements. * Strong leadership skills to manage subcontractors and ensure safety and quality standards on-site. * Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities for coordinating with project managers, clients, and inspectors. * Ability to maintain schedules and budgets while adapting to changing site conditions. * Hands-on approach with a focus on safety compliance and proactive issue resolution. * Proficiency with project management and reporting tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project). * Flexibility to travel within South Florida and work in a fast-paced environment.
