Job Title: Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)

School Year:2025-2026
Employment Type:Full-Time (37.5 hours/week), Onsite, Itinerant
Pay: $48-60/Hour
Soliant, a leading healthcare and education staffing provider, is seeking a passionate Teacher for the Visually Impaired to join our team in the San Bernardino, CA areafor the 2025-26 school year.This is a full-time, itinerant position serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Job Details:
- Provide specialized instruction to visually impaired students in grades K-12 (this is an itinerant, district-wide position).
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the needs of students with visual impairments
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, materials, and technologies to enhance student learning.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure students' academic and social success.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' skills and progress.
- Advocate for students' access to appropriate educational resources and accommodations.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in education, with a specialization in visual impairments or blindness.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in California (Open to candidates with pending license)
- Experience working with visually impaired students preferred
- Experience with Braille preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
