A Special Education Teacher position is available in an elementary school setting in West Chester, PA. This contract role offers the opportunity to support preschool children with special education needs across community preschool settings within the area, serving as an itinerant teacher.
Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instructional services to approximately 30 preschool students with diverse special education needs.
Travel to various community preschool locations to provide individualized support throughout the week.
Collaborate with staff and families to develop and implement effective individualized education programs (IEPs).
Utilize provided guidance and training to enhance teaching strategies and student engagement.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and services provided.
Qualifications:
Valid Pennsylvania certification in Pre-K through 4th grade and/or Special Education.
Candidates with emergency teaching permits in the relevant areas will be considered.
Experience working with preschool-aged children with special education needs preferred.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload across multiple locations.
Location and Schedule:
Position based in Broomall, PA, with service in surrounding community preschools.
Full-time schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
Approximately 35 hours per week.
