We are seeking a QA/QC Engineer to uphold our zero-defect standard and ensure that every rack leaving our facility is built with precision, reliability, and consistency. This role is highly hands-on and requires a deep understanding of hardware integration, cabling, and validation procedures across the full lifecycle of rack assembly. This role is based at our Burlingame location, and it is fully onsite. What Youll Do Inspect and verify incoming equipment, PDUs, hardware components, and accessories. Oversee rack preparation, airflow management, and PDU installation. Validate installation of servers, switches, storage systems, console servers, and supporting infrastructure. Review all cablingincluding power, copper, fiber, and DACfor accuracy, labeling, routing, and build consistency. Run comprehensive QA tests including: staged power-on network and connectivity validation redundancy and failover checks flap and stress testing storage failover scenarios Ensure completed racks are secured, crated, labeled, and documented properly before shipping. Maintain and update QA/QC checklists, SOPs, QA logs, and documentation. Provide final rack sign-off with photos, validation results, and documentation packages. What Were Looking For Prior QA/QC experience in hardware integration, data center operations, or infrastructure assembly. Strong technical knowledge of servers, switches, PDUs, rack infrastructure, and structured cabling (copper, fiber, DAC). Proficiency in Linux command-line environments for validation and troubleshooting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to manage multiple projects, plan proactively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. A detail-oriented, quality-first mindset with a commitment to zero-defect builds. Preferred Certifications (not required) ISO 9001 Quality Management ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Sycomp is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
