Attorney Commercial Auto Litigation Is this your next job Read the full description below to find out, and do not hesitate to make an application. - Columbia, MD Direct operations of Claims Team in conducting investigations, evaluations, and dispositions of litigated or high priority claims or suits brought against the company within the Personal Automobile business segment. *** Set goals and objectives with direct reports, measure results, and conduct annual performance reviews. *** Supervise claim files handled by direct reports, including litigated and high priority files. *** Conduct team meetings, monitor caseloads, extend reserve and settlement authority, and authorize referrals to defense counsel and coverage counsel when needed. *** Provide guidance and direction to direct reports for coverage, liability and damage analysis, reserves, alternative dispute resolution, and appraisal. *** Assist claims team in identifying special investigation fraud indicators and help refer those files accordingly. *** Review and deliver regular Claims Quality Reviews and audits conducted by Quality Assurance. *** Conduct additional file audits and deliver appropriate feedback to individual direct reports. *** Ensure all state regulations and internal guidelines are met, and each claims team member manages claims and suits in accordance with company best practices. *** Review and send correspondence, and complete actions to satisfy department of insurance and state specific regulations.
