• Seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager – Sales to lead business development activities in Chicago, USA. This role focuses on expanding market presence, strengthening relationships with existing customers, and driving new business development, mainly focusing on the India trade lane.
Business Development & Sales Growth:
# Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue and expand market share in the U.Identify and acquire new direct customers, ensuring a strong pipeline of opportunities.
# Drive individual sales and exceed revenue targets.
# Client & Partner Relationship Management:
# Strengthen relationships with existing US customers to maximize retention and growth.
# Build and maintain strong relationships with agent partners to enhance network strength.
# Serve as the primary contact for key clients, ensuring high service satisfaction.
# Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competition to develop tailored solutions.
# Sales Team Leadership & Expansion:
# Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team across key US locations.
# Provide mentorship and coaching to meet and exceed targets.
# Develop sales structures and incentive programs to drive performance.
# Strategic Planning & Execution:
# Align sales strategies with company objectives in collaboration with senior management.
# Work with operational teams for seamless logistics service execution.
# Monitor sales performance and report regularly to management.
5+ years in sales and business development within freight forwarding.
~ Proven experience with the India trade lane and strong global freight market knowledge.
~ Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
~ Exceptional negotiation and relationship management skills with customers and agents.
~ Strong understanding of freight rates, trade regulations, and logistics solutions.
