General Production Worker We are seeking diligent individuals to operate industrial sewing machines for the manufacture of medical device parts. This role involves specialized training and mentorship to ensure proficiency in production processes.

Responsibilities

Operate industrial sewing machines to manufacture medical device parts. Participate in a week-long training class followed by hands-on mentorship. Set up sewing machines with the correct thread. Increase production count to the expected output level within 13 weeks.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Sit for extended periods to operate sewing machines. Seek assistance or call maintenance if issues arise with sewing machines. Ensure products meet quality standards.

Essential Skills Attention to detail.

Experience

or ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Ability to hit production goals. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with industrial sewing. Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

Familiarity with medical device manufacturing.

Work Environment Our facility is a contract manufacturing medical device company with 800 employees. The production floor comprises 75% industrial sewing machines and operates in a clean GMP environment. Although not climate-controlled, fans are provided to mitigate summer heat. The workforce is diverse, and candidates proficient with translation technology can thrive.

Shifts include 1st (6am - 2:30 pm) with optional early hours and Saturdays, and 2nd (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm) with extended hours and optional Saturdays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Geneva, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
