Enterprise Architect AWS Cloud SME

Strategic Innovation Group (SIG) is seeking an Enterprise Architect for AWS Cloud Migration to assist FAA in defining the strategic roadmap and designs secure, scalable cloud solutions for migrating an existing system to AWS. Responsibilities include assessing infrastructure, selecting appropriate migration strategies, ensuring compliance and governance, and optimizing cloud environments for performance and cost. This role requires deep expertise in strong communications skills, AWS services, and DevSecOps to collaborate with stakeholders and guide teams through the transformation. $SIG is a fast growing 8(a) government contractor based in Arlington, Virginia. Strategy & Planning: Conducting infrastructure assessments and developing tailored cloud migration strategies. Designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure AWS architectures. Ensuring solutions incorporate high availability, disaster recovery, and secure integrations. Overseeing the execution of migration plans, ensuring data security and efficiency. Implementing and optimizing AWS services for cost-efficiency, security, and performance. Collaborating with stakeholders (development, IT operations, security teams) to gather requirements and guide decisions. Serving as a trusted advisor on cloud industry trends and emerging technologies. Leading and mentoring teams on cloud best practices and architectural excellence. Bachelor9s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate business needs into comprehensive cloud architecture strategies. Cloud Platforms: Deep knowledge of AWS services and multi-cloud/hybrid environments. Expertise in the "7 Rs" of cloud migration (rehost, replatform, refactor, etc.). Experience with automation tools, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps practices, and cloud governance. Knowledge of cloud-native services such as AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, OpenSearch, Azure OpenAI, AI Studio, Data Factory, and related tools.
