Responsibilities include assessing infrastructure, selecting appropriate migration strategies, ensuring compliance and governance, and optimizing cloud environments for performance and cost. This role requires deep expertise in strong communications skills, AWS services, and DevSecOps to collaborate with stakeholders and guide teams through the transformation.Great work/life balanceEligibility for performance‑based participation in cash bonusesPotential to participate in growth of the company through incentivesExcellent benefits, including health, dental, vision, generous PTO, a 401(k) with match, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, and a health savings account (HSA)Additionally, this position is expected to generally remote, with occasional visits to the office and client facilities in the Washington, DC metropolitan area as needed.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesStrategy & PlanningConducting infrastructure assessments and developing tailored cloud migration strategies.Defining migration roadmaps, including approaches like rehosting, replatforming, and refactoring.Aligning migration efforts with business goals and outcomes.Architecture & DesignDesigning and implementing robust, scalable, and secure AWS architectures.Architecting environments with proper governance and cost management.Ensuring solutions incorporate high availability, disaster recovery, and secure integrations.Migration Execution & OptimizationOverseeing the execution of migration plans, ensuring data security and efficiency.Implementing and optimizing AWS services for cost‑efficiency, security, and performance.Collaboration & LeadershipCollaborating with stakeholders (development, IT operations, security teams) to gather requirements and guide decisions.Serving as a trusted advisor on cloud industry trends and emerging technologies.Leading and mentoring teams on cloud best practices and architectural excellence.Required Experience/QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate business needs into comprehensive cloud architecture strategies.Communication: Strong skills to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.Cloud Platforms: Deep knowledge of AWS services and multi‑cloud/hybrid environments.Migration Methodologies: Expertise in the "7 Rs" of cloud migration (rehost, replatform, refactor, etc.).Technical Skills: Experience with automation tools, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps practices, and cloud governance.Preferred Experience/QualificationsPrior experience in federal contracting or highly regulated enterprise environments.Knowledge of cloud‑native services such as AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, OpenSearch, Azure OpenAI, AI Studio, Data Factory, and related tools.Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.Strong documentation skills and a commitment to scalable, maintainable engineering practices.Special Requirements/Security ClearanceMust have ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer, drug‑free workplace, and complies with ADA regulations as applicable.Salary: $180,000 - $220,000 #J-18808-Ljbffr
