As a Construction Project Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our organization, contributing to the success of our construction projects by managing all financial aspects. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you will be able to apply your expertise in project accounting, WIP, T&M, pay applications, construction accounting, and AIA.
You will be responsible for managing the financials of our construction projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all aspects of accounting. This includes but is not limited to, managing budgets, tracking expenses, preparing financial reports, and liaising with project managers and other stakeholders. You will be an integral part of our team, providing valuable financial insights and recommendations that will drive our business forward.
Manage all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
Prepare and analyze monthly project financial statements, including profit and loss, cash flow, and variance analyses.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of pay applications, invoices, and other financial transactions.
Monitor and report on project costs, identifying any discrepancies and providing recommendations for cost control.
Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders, providing financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
Ensure compliance with construction accounting standards and best practices, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
Continuously improve accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project accounting.
Proficiency in project accounting, WIP, T&M, pay applications, construction accounting, and AIA.
Strong financial analysis skills, with the ability to prepare and interpret financial reports.
Proficiency in accounting software and other relevant computer applications.
Knowledge of construction industry laws and regulations, as well as accounting standards and best practices.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
