Family Practice/Primary Care Physician Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 120-day locum tenens assignment in Maine, starting Feb 2, 2026. This solo provider opportunity involves primary care for all ages with a strong focus on geriatrics, Monday through Friday day shifts, including dedicated administrative time on Thursday afternoons. Job Details Location: Maine Start Date: Feb 2, 2026 LOA: 120 days Provider Type Needed: Family Practice Physician Assistant Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm; administrative time 12pm-5pm on Thursdays Responsibilities and Duties Deliver comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, with an emphasis on geriatric care Serve as the sole provider in the clinic, managing a broad spectrum of primary care cases Conduct patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and manage ongoing treatment Coordinate patient care, including preventive services and chronic disease management Perform documentation and administrative responsibilities as assigned Additional Information Must hold an active Physician Assistant license in Maine Required board certification in Family Medicine Basic Life Support (BLS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications required Significant experience in primary care and geriatric medicine is essential; new graduates will not be considered Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
